Vaginal Atrophy (Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause)

Vaginal atrophy, now often called genitourinary syndrome of menopause, is thinning, drying, and reduced elasticity of vaginal tissue that commonly follows a drop in estrogen around menopause.
